Awakening Peace |
A Mindfulness Retreat in the Tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh |
Friday, May 10, 2024 through Sunday, May 12, 2024 |
With this year's retreat, we will come together to reconnect with foundation practices and renew our deep aspirations to live and share our awakening and compassion. Through teachings and meditations on breathing, walking, deep listening, and loving speech, we will water the seeds of peace in our hearts. We will invite our ancestors, with both their suffering and their happiness to join and support us as we offer our awakening for the benefit of our families, our society and the Earth. Dharma Teacher: Michael CiborskiMichael is a lineage-holding Dharma teacher in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh. He lived as a monk for seven years in Plum Village, France, and worked intimately with Thich Nhat Hanh and the monastic community to organize, support, and offer meditation retreats around the world. After leaving the monastery in 2003, Michael returned to the US and helped establish MorningSun, a spiritual community & mindfulness centre in New Hampshire. Michael now leads retreats all over North America. For more about Michael, see his webpage Teaching and support in Mindfulness Practice and Meditation.
